USG Boral provides high quality internal linings, related products, and systems for residential and commercial construction, and is seeking an experienced individual to join our team. Reporting to the Estimating Team Leader and based in Port Melbourne, you will be responsible for producing quantity take offs for plaster related systems, delivering estimates and quotations on time as well as controlling the profitability of orders/acceptances. You will also provide customer service to the USG Boral Linings (UBL) business nationally in accordance with UBL's processes, systems and Boral Safety Management System (SMS).
Duties/responsibilities
- Review requests for quotation (RFQ) estimates, and prepare and issue quotes accordingly;
- Review and process quantity take offs for USG Boral Partiwall and associated systems;
- Follow up on quotes with builders;
- Facilitate margin control and order acceptance process – ensure take-off accurately reflects customer requests;
- Keep up-to-date with all quotation and delivery requests for the allocated customer portfolio;
- Address customer enquiries/requests in a timely manner and direct inquiries to alternative personnel where appropriate;
- Keep IT systems up-to-date with quotation and delivery progress for accurate reporting,
- Liaise with Project Coordinators and the Sales Team on estimating related matters; and
- Other duties as identified by the Estimating Team Leader.
Skills/experience
- Estimating experience and ability to read building plans;
- Strong people skills, organisational skills and communication skills;
- Enthusiastic team player seeking to be part of a challenging, vibrant and customer-focused culture;
- Demonstrated ability to handle competing deadlines appropriately, effectively and accurately;
- Disciplined, highly numerate, process orientated with a keen eye for detail;
- Intermediate experience in Excel spreadsheets; and
- Personal drive and results-orientation.
