About the role
This position will act as the leading point of contact for Quality Assurance within the Humes pipe, precast and prestress concrete business at a National level as well as providing your technical expertise to the business with regards to manufacturing excellence. Leading your team of Regional Quality Managers you’re main responsibilities will include;
- Proactively lead and champion the development and implementation of our Quality Management System ensuring it is effectively applied across all 12 sites across Australia
- Delivery of new quality initiatives and projects that ensure customer satisfaction as well as remaining within cost targets
- Integration of overall strategy into site operations via sharing of best practice, staff training, support of site management with regard to quality and coordination of external auditing
- Provision of advice and problem solving in a wide range of manufacturing issues alongside our Operations, Project Management and Technical teams.
- Manage customer requests for technical information in a timely and efficient manner
- Analyse and effectively manage customer issues and report trends and drivers to the business to enable preventative actions and improved performance
About you
- Minimum 5-10 years previous experience in the precast and prestress industry, or at a minimum civil construction or building materials such as readymix concrete is highly desirable
- A demonstrated leader in quality management in these industries
- Engineering and manufacturing expertise, industry body knowledge and membership
- Proficient with MS Office, SAP
- A genuine commitment to safety at all levels
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with ability to influence and engage at all levels. Strong analytical, planning and execution ability and computer literacy skills
