Supervisor – Building / Construction / Maintenance

Our client is looking for a permanent Building Maintenance Supervisor with work in Murray Bridge and surrounding areas. They are a close knit team of staff who are family focused, creating a great atmosphere to work in which reflects in the service provided.

A carpentry, plumbing background is an advantage but any other relevant trades are encouraged to apply and someone who has ran their own department and looked after multiple trades. You will be given a car and all the tools necessary to do all maintenance work.

  The Role

The position reports directly to the General Manager. Duties include:

·         Estimation of job requirements

·         Procurement of relevant materials

·         Help with Hand Overs

·         Scheduling

·         Answer calls from clients and fix small issues

·         Run Programs and structures

·         Oversee construction across various sites and                     maintain high quality standard

·         Coordinate various trades and subcontractors to                   achieve outcome

·         Report to internal stakeholders and advise on site                 progression and outcomes

·         Manage and implement work practices across                     different stages of construction.

·         Complete building progress reports,

·         WH&S – safe work methods

·         conduct site inductions for contractors

·         Management and supervision of site trades

·         Program jobs into a schedule ensuring a well-                       managed construction process is achieved

·         Conduct regular quality checks

·         Conduct inspections and handover with clients

·         Monitor trade resource requirements to meet monthly            order demands

·         Assist staff/sub-contractors to understand and                     implement safety policies and procedures at

·         Monitor trade and supplier performance to ensure                 quality and accuracy is achieved

About You

·         Trade qualification or Diploma of Building

·         Whitecard

·         3 + years of building supervision experience is                     desirable

·         Individuals with knowledge of construction reporting             and processes

·         Team focused with a high drive to succeed and                    progress in your career

·         High verbal and written skills are needed for this role

·         Proven leader who is able to communicate effectively           to trades

·         A desire to work as part of a close-knit team in a                   fast-paced environment

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is beneficial

·         An energetic & enthusiastic attitude, with the ability               to  work with people to get results

·         Building and construction knowledge is critical Trade            background in carpentry or similar is highly regarded
