ABOUT THE COMPANY.
An award-winning Local Council based in the Western Suburbs is after an experienced Contracts Engineer to deliver numerous construction and engineering tenders valued from $1m to $15m. This Local Council specialises in the construction, infrastructure and roads of homes across Sydney's Western Suburbs and has the largest capital works programs in NSW.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Contracts Engineer, you will be reporting directly to the Project Manager. You will commence your employment by working on multiple Construction and Engineering Tenders. You will be required to work both autonomously and within a team, with the ability to take on Project Management responsibilities. You will be required to work Monday to Friday.
DUTIES.
- Assist in financial programming and budgeting
- Manage contracts and variations
- Procurement and scheduling
- Tender recommendations
- Prepare scope of works
- Cost control and invoicing
- Previous Contracts Engineering experience is beneficial
- Tertiary qualification in a building related course
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team focused individual with the ability to liaise with subcontractors
- Local Council experience is a must
