Your new company
A large Public Sector client is seeking Building Inspectors (Limited/ Unlimited- Registration desirable) to join a team for an immediate start to oversee/ facilitate approximately 2 inspections per day on commercial buildings throughout Melbourne and the wider region. Offering all the tools necessary, an attractive hourly rate and access to company vehicles, you will play a key role in ensuring building/ ESM are complaint and meet Victorian regulatory standards. Building Inspectors without registration but extensive commercial experience are encouraged to apply.

Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out field based building inspections on commercial completed builds and existing buildings
• Assessing, documenting and reporting
• Inspecting and reporting on essential safety measures + Cladding
• Engaging with community members, other industry professionals, and working closely with the principal Building Surveyor
• Applying and educating others on relevant building legislations
• Providing customer service and advice

What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will require:

• Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying/ Inspecting
• Victorian Building Practitioner Board Registration or relevant commercial experience
• Demonstrated practical experience as a Building Inspector
• A solid understanding of the relevant acts, regulations and Vic Standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Current driver’s license
