Queen’s Wharf Brisbane is a new, $3B world-class integrated resort development currently being constructed, that will put Brisbane on the map as a tourism, leisure and entertainment destination. Expected to open in 2022, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will transform the CBD and river’s edge with an iconic design that embraces Brisbane’s inviting subtropical climate and celebrates the precinct’s Indigenous and European heritage with interpretive trails and experiences spanning the Brisbane River and ridgeline.
Destination Brisbane Consortium is delivering the $3 billion development, which will cover more than 26 hectares across land and water. Project Partners Recruitment Services has been selected as one of two specialist consultancies to assist in the search and selection process to appoint key individuals for the project delivery team.
As Queen’s Wharf progresses from the design and early works phase into delivery over the next four years and beyond, the integrated resort development will require a Contracts Manager to work closely with the development team through the procurement and subsequent contract management from ECI through to commissioning.
Role Description:
- Management of contractors from procurement of elements within the Integrated Resort Development (IRD), through to commissioning.
- Run monthly contractor site meetings
- In conjunction with the PQS, manage the process of assessments and recommendations of contractors’ monthly claims, variation and time claims.
- Co-ordination with Development Stakeholders
- Program and cost monitoring/reporting
Profile:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience with building and retail projects.
- Must be able to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner to Senior Management.
- Must be detail-orientated, extremely organized, and have strong presentation skills.
- Have strong risk assessment, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
- Task management, organization and team collaboration skills.
- Experience with managing key stakeholders and consultants.
