Due to the ongoing growth of our mid tier civil construction company we are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join our successful team.

This role will require you to work on a variety of subdivision, land development and civil works projects including road construction, supporting our fleet of modern GPS machine control and surveying equipment to deliver quality products to our clients. Our current projects include Brisbane, and Western Downs regions, you must be willing for work outside the Brisbane area as required.
Reporting to the Group Survey Manager, the successful candidate will have the technical skills required to set up, maintain and troubleshoot issues with Topcon and Trimble GPS machine control, base stations and rovers.
Responsibilities including but not limited to
- Set up GPS base station on site shed
- Perform a site localisation
- Install machine control equipment onto machines (hardware only, machines are wired)
- Troubleshoot cable, radio and software issues
- Repair or replace faulty cables
- Provide operator training on both Topcon 3DMC and Trimble GCS
- Perform basic survey setout and pickup
- Assist our Engineering Surveyors with field work
To be considered for this role you must possess
- 1 year of experience in a similar role
- A medium level of computer literacy
- A current drivers license with a clean driving record
The following skills/experience will be highly regarded
- A Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology (Surveying)
- Registration/Certification as an Engineering surveyor with SBQ or SSSI
- Previously working for Position Partners or Sitech in a similar role
- A trade qualification or at least 2 years experience as an Auto Electrician
