Due to recent growth in our client's commercial department, a full time position has become available for an Estimator to join a high performing team supporting commercial landscape construction.
Client Details
Our client, is a well-known construction contractor who specialise in the residential & commercial industry. The services they offer include custom designs, building, construction & maintenance. After recent successful tenders with larger TIER companies, our client has a need to grow the business and expand the internal team. They pride themselves on being extremely passionate in their people which has helped them grow in size and develop new relationships with clients & customers.
Description
Working closely with the Commercial Manager you will support the growth of the commercial department and contribute to a high performing team. The main responsibilities will be:
- Ensure a high analytical standard in landscape estimation, quantification & budgetary performance
- Produce realistic, competitive and cost effective quotes
- Communicate on a daily basis with the Senior Estimator & Commercial Manager and assist in any delays around tender submissions
- Provide qualitative & quantitative input and advice pertaining to budget formulation and costing as required for both in house and external projects
- Deliver regular updates on current work to ensure there is an understanding of progress on projects
- Assist in marketing in order to build new relationships for the business to expand opportunities
Profile
To be successfully shortlisted you will have:
- Previous experience in estimation (Landscape/building industry)
- Worked on budgets, quotes and schedules
- Experience in purchasing & procurement
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications
- Excellent analytical, numerical and problem solving skills
- Effective time management skills
- Confident in internal & external communication with clients & staff
Must have full working rights in Australia
