About Us

Prime Build is a Tier 3 construction company specialising in retail fit out & refurbishment. Established in 2008 in Sydney, we have since opened additional offices in Melbourne & Brisbane & have completed projects across Australia after building ongoing relationships with industry-leading clients (75% of our business is repeat). While ~70% of our projects remain fit out & refurb, we are also expanding into new build and diversifying our client base.

As Leading Hand, you will work closely with Site Managers to supervise a team of tradesmen and subcontractors and ensure that projects are completed in accordance with the construction program. A typical day might see you supervising the site to ensure that works are completed on time and in accordance with site instructions, ensuring site safety and that works are completed defect free and working on the tools. You will work with industry-leading clients and gain exposure to the opportunities often afforded to larger organisations while enjoying the fun and variety of a smaller team with a family feel.

As a nation-wide specialist in retail fit-out and refurbishment, your availability to travel to regional areas and undertake regular night shift is a must.

You'll fit right in if you...

• Have previously worked as a Carpenter, including having at least a Certificate III in Carpentry and 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry (experience in fit out/refurbishment an added bonus)
• Are a self-starter and a clear communicator who works well in a team to get the job done on time and with no defects
• Have a strong focus on safety for you and your team
• Are a genuine team player with a no hassles, can do attitude who takes pride in delivering quality work
• Possess your own tools and car
• Are an Australian resident, qualified to work in Australia
