The builder are looking for a passionate Area Manager to join the team. They need someone who can support and develop their Supervisors to be the best they can be.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, he is a highly experienced and respected leader who will give you as much support as you need. Easy to talk to and a genuinely nice guy - a great Manager to report to.
A high pressure role, we need someone reliable and skilled in building new homes.
The new role will involve:
- Managingaround 4-5 construction supervisors in the South West Sydney area - Sites will be greenfield and difficult KDR sites - you must be experienced in this area
- Provide training and guidance to new Supervisors, take them around to site, offer advice and support in their early stages
- Exceptional customer service skills, problem solving and problem customer care
- Co-ordinate and liaise with contractors and suppliers
- Ensuring projects run to schedule
- Ensure work undertaken by contractors is completed in accordance with correct building practices and procedures and adhered to at all times
- Provide construction progress updates, WHS reports to head office
What you need
You will ideally have the following criteria:
- Previous experience in a Construction or Area Manager role
- An experienced supervisor looking to step up will be considered
- Experience from a trade, and supervising building new homes yourself
- Strong computer skills - able to operate an onsite construction application
- Evidence of proactive qualities and ability to work autonomously
- Trade qualification, preferably Carpentry
- Longevity with previous employers
