Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced permanent full time Operator to join the Roads Program Delivery Central group, based in the Operations business unit.
The purpose of the position is to effectively and safely operate Council's plant and equipment and carrying out construction and maintenance tasks of civil infrastructure and undertake a wide range of maintenance, repair and improvement activities within the Gladstone region.
About you
- Experience and competency operating one (1) or more of the following plant (Grader, Excavator, Backhoe, Front End Loader or Roller).
- Experience and competency operating under a current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence.
- Labouring skills to perform physical tasks on a daily basis.
- Communication skills to liaise with employees and customers and follow instructions.
- Basic literacy skills to complete required paperwork.
