The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an outgoing and vibrant Estimating Assistant to join the McDonald Jones Homes family based in Norwest.

Your primary responsibility is to provide general administrative and clerical assistance to the estimating department. This would include, but not be limited to, ordering preliminary reports and the like; checking plans, selections and construction documents for consistency and accuracy; preparing safety plans and other general administrative tasks.

This role will suit a hardworking person who is hands on and looking to grow within an organisation.  This position is suitable for someone who has administration experience and thrives in a fast paced environment,

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:-

  • Well-developed people skills;
  • Has initiative and is the proactive type;
  • Exceptional computer skills with a medium to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Great all-rounded administrative skills;
  • Interest in administration within the building industry;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work within a team environment; and
  • Outstanding attention to detail.

In addition, you must have strong organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle numerous projects effectively and efficiently.
