We are seeking a full-time Project Engineer - Water who is keen to hit the ground running by taking an active involvement in our Water Treatment System projects and the development of our business in this rapidly expanding marketplace.

Reporting to our National Water Manager, you will play an integral role in the delivery of complex and challenging Water Treatment System projects throughout Sydney and NSW.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering
  • 5+ years' experience working with automated process plants and water treatment plants.
  • Experience with PLC's, VSD's and SCADA/HMI systems desirable.
  • A hands-on approach and experience troubleshooting a range of water treatment issues related to chemical dosing, filtration, screw press mechanical and electrical equipment and the treatment of a range of contaminants.
  • Demonstrated ability in the understanding, development and maintaining accurate plant operational documentation. Some of these include P&IDs, SOPs, ITPs, SWMS, Daily brief/Tool box, mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience working with media filtration, coagulation, flocculation, ion exchange and Screw press.
  • Experience producing technical specifications, datasheets and equipment specifications.
  • Experience in undertaking due-diligence reviews of technical specifications, datasheets and equipment specifications.
  • Procure parts & chemicals and maintain critical parts.
  • Engage service contractors to complete the breakdown jobs and schedule preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Support Project Manager to complete daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Provide guidance/interface with a team of WTP Operators.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate performaance information on water treatment equipment.
  • Demonstrated understanding in the development and implementation of Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality management systems.
  • High level organisational skills and computer literacy.
  • Strong written / verbal communication with the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with people.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with the ability to develop relationships with team members, clients and contractors to ensure excellence in project delivery.
  • Flexibility to work the required site hours and valid driver's licence.
