Redpath are currently working exclusively with Prime Build, a specialist retail fit-out/refurbishment and construction business to recruit for a Construction Manager for their successful NSW division. Established in 2008, Prime Build has frequently been ranked within Australia’s Top 25 growing companies and they are about to enter their biggest every quarter!
  
The business operates across 3 states, so the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to progress into a National Construction Manager role over the next 12-18 months. Prime Build have a very solid set of values centred around collaboration, customer satisfaction and a strong safety culture – it is very important that the new Construction Manager is aligned with these values.
  
The NSW Construction Manager will plan, coordinate, budget and supervise construction projects from concept to completion. Ensuring they are developed and progressed with a focus on safety, quality, time and cost targets to deliver the best outcomes that comply with client requirements. They will also assist in managing the contract arrangements for each project, facilitating negotiations and revisions and ensuring that KPIs are met.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have over 10 years experience in the Construction industry, including working in a Senior level role managing multiple projects in the fit-out / refurbishment sectors. Retail experience desirable, but not essential.
  • Have advanced technical knowledge of the construction process, programmes, contracts and cost control
  • Be able to effectively lead, manage and coach a team, as well as develop team members
  • Have strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to influence others
  • Be self-driven and able to contribute to the growth of the company
  • Understand the benefit of good working relationships with subcontractors
  • Have familiarity with construction management software packages
