About the business
Operating out of Sydney CBD we are currently securing and delivering 40 plus homes a year. With growth exceeded to be around 75 plus in 2019 and 2020-2021 approx. 150 per year.
About the role
The potential and plans is to grow the business both in headcount and turnover, this I will only be achieved through the allocation of a senior figure who can lead the team in procurement, cost control, variance reports, comparisons, take offs, in helping both sales estimating and production estimating.
Procurement of all new trades and suppliers will be essential and knowledge of industry/market rates is important.
You will also be expected to comminucate effectively; bridging the flow of information between trade partners, internal site teams and the board, ensuring the business is operating at maximun efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Managing the estimating function of the business and procurement of all new trades and suppliers
- Minimum 5 + years sales and production estimating experience
- DataBuild Software experience is essential with some idea of workflow software, preferably companion.
- Must be a leader with experience running a team of Estimators, initially you will have one estimator under you.
- Ideally working across volume builds - Display Homes, Standard and Custom designs
- Great Knowledge in cost planning, cost control, building variations, forecasting and delegating jobs to site
- Strong people management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proactive, passionate drive and initiative

Skills and experience
- Proven track record as a successful estimator
- Experience in Procurement of trades/suppliers
- Knowledge of industry rates
- Data build expert with some experience with workflow software.
