ABOUT THE ROLE
The position is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager. To be successful you will need to be able to vet, analyse and navigate the often-complex design, tendering and estimation of projects valued at anywhere between $200,000 and $10 million for mid to top tier builders and government agencies. In addition to this, you will need fantastic relationship management skills to develop robust, trusting and long-term client relationships. Your critical analysis and analytical approach will mean that you are comfortable to not only estimate project costs but be able to explain it in a way that guarantees sales and closes deals.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Excellent analytical skills &attention to detail
- At least 4 years in a business development/estimation role
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Design, Project Management or similar
- Understanding of structural steel construction
- Technical design skills
- Excellent negotiation & relationship management skills
- Exposure to complex architectural projects highly regarded
- An ability to be efficient and manage multiple tenders at one time
- Auto CAD experience
- Previous experience in CRM databases highly regarded
- Positive attitude and self-motivated
