About the business and the role
Our client, a large equipment manufacturer and distribution company and has for over 40 years been driving crane technology forward and pushing the envelopes of tailor made, high speed heavy lifting.
They are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Project Assistant for an immediate start.
- To assist the Project Manager with the management and coordination of allocated projects
- To assist the Service department with the management and coordination of allocated projects
- To assist the documentation controller with the controlling of project documentation
The responsibilities of this role include
- Assist the Project Manager / Service department in establishing excellent project coordination, communication and project control systems
- Purchasing, Expediting, Packing, Shipping, and general office duties.
- Maintenance of Project records including performance and cost, and the provision of reports pertaining to the project
- Establish a strong technical rapport with technical, production, quality, and accounting staff.
- Distribute technical drawings
- Attend all training provided by the company
The skills and experience required for this role include
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Reasonable Mechanical Engineering amplitude
- Good Computer literacy
- Some formal qualifications with Certificates
- Australian Passport
- Driver's licence
- Forklift licence
- Familiar with Cranes and lifting terminology would be an advantage
