Milestone are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Estimator with a strong background in civil works and construction projects. As the successful candidate, will be tendering for projects between $200K - $4mill. The company requires a candidate who can hit the ground running, being able to work in an autonomous role. This is an Excellent opportunity for an Estimator that is ready to take on a new challenge in taking control of their career to play a key role in the strategic development of a growing company. Working closely with the directors and the commercial manager you will be a critical component of the business growth rather than just a small part of a larger company.
POSITION DUTIES
As the Senior Civil Estimator you will be responsible for managing all tenders from invitation through to submission. In addition, you will be working closely with the project delivery team in assisting in project cost tracking and contracts administration.
- Estimating of major tenders ($200k +)
- Review tender documentation - Develop Scope of Works, Resource Requirements, Materials Costing and Construction Methodologies
- Identify cost risks and opportunities with various tender submissions
- Creation and submission of tenders offers and quotations
- Assist in preparing expressions of interest and budget estimates
- Post tender negotiations and contract reviews
- Sourcing subcontractor and supplier quotes and availability
REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary education - Preferably in Civil Construction, other subjects considered
- Ability to run more than one multi-disciplined tender concurrently
- High level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage a variety of stakeholders
- Min 5 + Years’ LOCAL Experience across Demolition, Remediation, Bulk and Detailed Excavation, RMS and street scape.
- Onsite experience either as a civil and or construction Forman, Project Manager or trade experience
- Must have concise Clear English speaking ability
- Clean and tidy presentation
- Great local relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to the Australian market and can access this network to provide detailed input for all of your designs
