Our local government client, located in Melbourne's inner suburbs, is seeking a Customer Service Officer to join its Contact Centre team.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a leading local employer based in a location easy to reach by public transport.

The Position

In this role you will be focused on assisting members of the general public with their phone-based enquiries to the council.

You will aim to resolve a high proportion of the calls yourself, but be able to direct calls internally within the organisation if required.  

You will be experienced handling high call volumes and have the ability to resolve issues in a courteous and professional manner.

Possessing previous experience working in a contact centre/call centre, your excellent communication skills - including conflict resolution - will enable you to provide high-level support in this position.
