Each year we attend in excess of 250,000 people across the state and teach over 200,000 people life saving first aid skills.

We are currently recruiting a First Aid Services Consultant to join our First Aid Services and Training department on a casual basis. The role would suit an individual with excellent customer service who is enthusiastic about promoting and selling lifesaving first aid courses to help build more resilient communities. 

As a St John First Aid Services Consultant, you will be responsible for inbound/outbound calls and converting customer enquiries into sales opportunities through the use of questioning and recommending appropriate products and services. You will be required to meet and exceed sales targets by having phone conversations that lead to cross selling opportunities.  

What you'll do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and customers at all times
  • Respond to queries accurately and timely to ensure customers’ needs are met
  • Actively promote and sell St John Ambulance products and services to customers to increase sales figures
  • Meet all relevant sales targets and KPI’s to ensure department revenue objectives are achieved
  • Ensure confirmation letters and training packs are mailed/emailed to enrolled students 

What you'll need:

  • Experience in a call centre environment is highly desirable
  • A passion for success in sales and delivering exceptional customer service consistently 
  • Excellent telephone manner and high attention to detail
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well-developed negotiation skills
  • Professional and mature attitude with an outstanding work ethic
  • Team focused with the ability to work autonomously
