This fast paced and exciting role gives you the opportunity to work autonomously in an office environment that can offer you friendly staff with excellent attitude and experience in the industry. This non-for-profit organisation prides themselves in providing support to their patients and their families and the work you will be doing is for a good cause.


As Customer Service Coordinator you will be responsible for incoming calls to the office and direct them to the relevant nurse or advisor, as well as giving some advice yourself over the phone. You will also respond to enquiries via email and you will manage administration in the office as well as making appointments for special services.


Further responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Deliver professional customer service in every interaction with callers, while respecting the confidential nature of all calls
  • Provide timely information to callers when required
  • Confidently transfer calls to the correct staff members when required and ensure efficient follow up when required
  • Manage calls from donors and capture information effectively and with gratitude
  • Some outbound follow up calls
  • Exercise initiative to improve service or product offerings
  • Contribute to policies and processes to support a sustainable organisation

The Successful Applicant:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a call centre or customer service environment
  • Demonstrate flexible and adaptable communication techniques that engender positive engaging relationships
  • Be mature, confident, clear, pleasant and calm
  • Possess a highly professional phone manner
  • Demonstrated ability to handle emotional customers
  • Excellent listening skills
  • An understanding and willingness to comply with relevant legislation
  • Understand the needs, stresses, and confidentiality required for people living with a chronic illness
  • Computer literate within Microsoft Office packages
