Salary: $36.35 - $41.65ph + super

Council’s Customer Relations Team is looking to recruit permanent full time and part time staff as well as fill a Casual Pool.

The positions require both face to face and phone based customer service, assisting the community of Camden.

Building Capacity to Deliver – Servicing Community Needs

These positions are responsible for promoting a positive image of Council through the provision of outstanding face to face and over the telephone service to the community.

Duties include:

  • Handling a high volume of enquiries regarding a wide range of local council related issues/queries
  • Complex problem solving/conflict resolution
  • Striving to go above and beyond for all our customers
  • Achieving Team and individual KPIs
  • Taking detailed and accurate information relating to enquiries to create Customer Requests
  • General administration duties such as data entry and responding to email enquiries

Requirements of the role:

  • Ability to handle 100+ calls per day
  • Demonstrated ability for fast learning and long-term retention of information
  • Previous experience in customer service/call centre is essential
  • Strong PC skills – including MS Word and Excel
  • Working with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Outstanding communication skills – verbal and written
  • Maintaining quality and company standards with all customer and client interactions
  • Providing outstanding customer service in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability and willingness to work both in a team as well as autonomously to achieve targets
  • A can-do attitude
