Based in Kelvin Grove, and reporting to the Customer Service & AllocationsTeam Leader, we currently have an opening within the allocations team for a Logistics Allocator servicing tipper truck deliveries. The primary aim of this role is to maximise the utilisation of the fleet in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner, and to develop and enhance customer relationships.
Allocators have a constant interface with customers and drivers to ensure we meet customer requirements and meet key KPIs within the allocations team. You will use computerised scheduling tools to direct deliveries to customers' depots and job sites including, the replenishment of materials at Boral Concrete plants and the allocation of materials to external infrastructure projects.
Please note: There is a requirement to work every second Saturday and be flexible to work on rotating shifts between the hours of 5.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
Skills and experience:
- Experience in transport scheduling or despatch is highly desirable, but not essential
- Computer savvy - although training will be provided on the Boral system
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- Well-developed problem solving and prioritisation skills with the ability to accept continual change and disruption
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
