We are looking for an Outbound Sales specialist to join the Sales team within News Customer Support.
What is the role?
This role is an outbound sales role, based within our News Customer Support business unit. We provide a busy contact centre environment, which handles customer queries for our print and digital news products. This is a true outbound telephone based sales role. Drawing upon your experience of sales and service excellence, you will maximise every opportunity through cross selling and upselling our suite of products.
Contacting potential customers you will utilise your ability to build rapport and sell the value of News’ broad product suite to gain new print and digital subscribers. This role is part-time permanent (minimum of 21 hours up to 38 hours), Monday to Friday.

Communicating verbally is your strength. Use your expert customer service skills to sell. You have a strong focus on your customer - you love and live for the happiness of our subscribers. You are driven by a quality approach to your work, using needs analysis to tailor a solution. You’re adaptable, flexible and can learn new skills easily.
Our ideal candidate will have call centre, sales, or customer service experience with proven abilities in:
- Sales
- Outbound calling, to build rapport and relationships with customers.
- Use of computer systems.
Key to your success will be your ability to:
- Provide solutions, based on needs you discover
- Be competitive and success driven
- Upsell, cross sell & tailor a solution
