With a focus on the maintenance of public parks and reserves and the beautification of Blacktown City, we are seeking a Team Leader to join our rapidly expanding Open Space Maintenance Section. You will be leading a small team working in maintenance in accordance with service level requirements and schedules. You will also be recommending improvements and ensuring daily reporting of hazards.
You must have an MR driver’s licence, experience in staff supervision and open space maintenance. A formal qualification in horticulture or related area, chainsaw operation certificate of competence, Senior First Aid Certificate, RMS approved Traffic Controller Accreditation and Chemical Application Accreditation would be advantageous.
Blacktown City is committed to safety. We have introduced alcohol and other drug testing at the pre-employment phase, and via a series of random tests, tests where there may be reasonable suspicion and / or post reportable incident testing for Council workers.
Salary Range: $1,051.30 - $1,177.50 (Grade 6) per week, 76 hour working fortnight with RDO, leave entitlements, 9.5% employer superannuation contribution, gym membership discounts and more.
