Client Details

State Government department in BOX HILL requires a Customer Support Officer for 6mth temp role. Starting August. Close to public transport, $42 per hour + super. Previous Government experience is advantageous.

Description

In this role, you will be responsible for responding to a high volume of phone and email enquiries from members of the public, industry and community groups in relation to the department.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide helpful, accurate and timely information about related legislation.
  • Accurately record the details of applicants and cardholders calls into the relevant databases and registers.
  • Identify and recommend service delivery and process improvement opportunities, as well as monitoring and evaluating the performance of the Customer Support Line.
  • Assist with projects and programs such as desktop research and the development and/or monitoring relevant databases, registers and websites
  • Providing administrative support to a wider team.

Profile

Key Capabilities

  • Customer focus- able to build and sustain effective relationships with customers
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer and telephony use, including complex word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database functions.
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-management skills - ability to plan and prioritise work of self and others on a daily basis
  • Previous experience in a high volume contact centre environment
  • Previous Government experience would be advantageous
