An exciting opportunity exists for a Customer Service Specialist to join our Collingwood based contact centre specialising in transport logistics.

Transport Contact Centre Solutions (TCCS) deals with all aspects of taxi booking services from the passenger to the driver end. Our network is the key provider for a number of taxi bureau services around Victoria.

In this role, you will be fast tracked to become part of our niche team, providing subject matter expertise to booking agents, working with our account-based clients and playing an integral part in communications with drivers and operators of the Silver Top and associated networks.

This is a part-time role, with set hours and days as follows:

  • Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 08:30-16:30

Skills and experience required for this position:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with an excellent phone manner
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service, with a desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Ability to identify and address customers' needs
  • Competent and accurate data entry and keyboard skills
  • Computer literate with the ability to easily adapt to learn new computer skills and systems
  • Ability to take on board new information and challenges without hesitation
  • Motivated with a positive attitude, and ability to work well within a team environment
  • Ability to deal with difficult customer contacts and resolve them according to customer service expectations and standards
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Minimum 6 months customer service experience required
  • Previous experience in a call centre environment is desirable, but not essential

Daily tasks will include:

  • Handling customer enquiries/bookings over the telephone, email and web portals
  • Dealing with account related bookings and enquiries
  • Assisting taxi drivers with their job/booking related queries
  • Dealing with customer feedback and complaints
  • Providing subject matter expertise to booking agents and other parties as required
  • Providing specialist knowledge to customers
  • Monitoring work flows
