The Role

We are looking for a Technical Call Centre Consultant (casual to permanent opportunity) to join our Customer Service Team located in Maddington, to service our diverse customer base, including power tool specialists, hardware chains, hire companies and outdoor power equipment specialists.

Your role will encompass delivering excellence in customer service through the prompt and accurate processing of orders and enquiries via inbound calls; faxed orders and web-based orders and enquiries.

To be successful in this position, you must have exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate on a variety of levels with our customers, end users, sales team and Makita staff.

This is initially a 12-month casual or temporary position with a view to permanent employment based on outstanding performance and would suit someone with Inbound Call Centre Experience in the power tool, automotive or hardware industry.

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Inbound calls (potentially up to 120 per day);
  • Order entry.

What skills and experience will you bring to this role?

  • Substantial inbound technical call centre experience;
  • Strong technical product knowledge gained from working in the power tool or similar industry;
  • Superb and professional telephone technique;
  • Exceptional alpha/numerical & accurate data entry skills;
  • Superior computer skills using an ERP system and Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and outlook;
  • You will be flexible enough to be part of a team yet work autonomously as and when required.
  • Highly organised and able to manage/prioritise workload whilst sticking to deadlines;
  • Ability to think on your feet, learn quickly and retain information by taking notes and listening attentively to other team members.
