Our Queensland Rail Travel business develops, manages and sells long distance rail services, domestic and international holiday packages and corporate travel. Due to our commitment to customer service we now have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Operations Attendant to join our Proserpine Station team.

Duties and responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Undertaking a range of routine task associated with station and/or yard activities including maintenance of the yard, luggage handling, despatching train services, ticket sales and cash handling.
  • Ensuring the station is operated in an efficient and effective manner in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Attending to Customer's requirements by providing a standard of customer service that encourages our customers to regularly use Queensland Rail services.
  • Enhancing Queensland Rail's image through the maintenance of relationship and liaising with internal and external customers, staff and local community.
  • Operating basic communication and computer equipment including but not limited to two way radios and mainframe application.
  • Identifying and solve routine problems within a semi-autonomous environment.
  • Ensuring the safety for both Queensland Rail customers and employees and that all relevant safety regulation and Queensland Rail's ZERO Harm Policy are adhered to.
