About the role

Collecting on behalf of our client, you will be a part of a high performing team. You will handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls and provide solutions to customers on a daily basis. Working on behalf of a Government client, adhering to compliance and providing the highest standards of customer service on each call is essential. You will work towards individual performance targets and KPI's and will receive ongoing feedback and coaching for your call quality.

 

Hours of work

You also need to be available for shift work across our operational hours of Monday – Friday 8:00am to 8.00pm and 7:00am to 8:00pm daylight savings time.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Handling high volume inbound and outbound phone calls to customers and companies
  • Examine accounts and determine the best course of action utilising your delegated authority for the Client and the Company.
  • Negotiate the collection of outstanding government debt, along with educating customers to ensure adherence to their future obligations is achieved.
  • Develop and increase knowledge on government process while following the required workflows on all accounts.
  • Adherence to all legislative guidelines which govern the industry including ACCC and the Privacy Act.
  • Maintain accurate account records, ensuring all relevant customer information is obtained and updated.
  • Professional call conduct with customers and third parties
  • Achieve individual targets

 

About you

The key to success in this role is your ability to utilise your outstanding negotiation techniques to get accounts paid whilst adhering to all regulatory guidelines. You will possess strong communication skills to enable our customers to clearly understand complex cases and process.

You will have an ability to maintain and build quality relationships that allow you to achieve the best possible results for the company and our clients.

The successful applicant will have intermediate MS Office skills, ability to learn and navigate new systems with ease and a motivation to consistently achieve individual performance targets.

You must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia for a minimum of 5 years to be considered for this role.
