We are looking for a highly motivated and technically minded customer service & sales person to join our friendly online team in our Oakleigh South office. This varied role involves managing all customer service and sales aspects of an online store.

Universal Fans carry a wide range of cooling and ventilation products from the best brands. Our clients are located all over Australia and overseas, and include the general public, architects, interior decorators, builders and electricians - so every enquiry is different!

Position Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Strong phone skills are a must and you must speak and write English clearly and fluently.
  • Sales / customer service (including call centre) background with 12 months experience preferable.
  • Experience in complaint / complaint escalations an advantage
  • Knowledge of ventilation products is non-essential, but you must be ready to learn!
  • Experience selling lighting, electrical or other related products is highly advantageous.
  • Clear thinker and creative problem solver
  • Immaculate attention to detail is essential
  • Able to work independently, organised, strong time management and an amazing all rounder
  • Willing and capable of learning new processes
  • Reliable, punctual, can-do/take ownership attitude, team player
  • Internet Wizz and Computer program experience (MS Office, accounting software)

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answering sales & service enquiries via phone, email and chat
  • Resolving customer service issues in a creative and sophisticated manner
  • Follow up on customer enquiries and convert sales whilst considering pricing, stock availability and product recommendation
  • Processing returns (exchange, credit & refunds) in accordance with store policy
  • Follow up orders with suppliers and maintain communication to customers of order status
  • Build and maintain relationships with regular customers
