A fantastic opportunity to work as a freight services clerk as the face of our client's freight business.
Client Details
Our client is Australia's largest independent air freight service business and an iconic Australian airline, located in Mascot.
Description
Our customer service clerk will work on the front counter and will be the face of our client's freight business. They will meet and greet all customers/drivers who need to pick up freight, drop freight off and all general queries.
All customer service is face to face,with a minimal amount of phone work.
When taking the freight from the customer, the front counter staff are required to weigh and measure the freight, and then log it into the system.
This role is based in an industrial warehouse environment.
Profile
To be successful for a front counter job at Qantas candidates MUST -
- Have a good solid background in customer service - ideally some face to face. Eg, retail, call centre, logistics admin.
- Have excellent attention to detail with reading, writing and understanding numbers for measuring and weighing.
- Well presented
- Be computer savvy and understand how to pick up various programs quickly.
- Be flexible to work across weekly rotating shifts, day and afternoon starts.
- Must pass a full medical.
- Be able to pass a federal police check.
- Wear steel capped boots
