Working in a true startup and with a small, highly collaborative, supportive and energised team, the successful candidate will thrive on driving growth through achieving ambitious targets and goals for the Hometime business.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will be integral to scaling the Hometime business by identifying and onboarding some of Australia’s best properties onto our platform and helping them increase their yield by managing their properties in the short term rental market.

At Hometime, we’re turning short-term property management upside down. We’ve taken an operationally intensive business into the cloud with our industry leading technology and a remote workforce. In the last 12 months, we’re proud to have delivered our services to hundreds of properties across Australia, whilst securing a professional co-host partnership with Airbnb. We’re well funded and have big plans! We’re searching for great talent to help evolve our technology, brand and enable us to grow at an even faster rate.

About you

Someone who thinks outside the box and is passionate about helping startups grow. The business development team always thinks on their feet, finding creative and resourceful ways to meet prospective clients needs. Someone who likes to venture into unexplored territory and discover new opportunities and ways of doing business.

  • Face to face sales experience is a bonus, but not required. 
  • At least 6 months of work experience in an office is preferred, in a sales or customer service role. New grads welcome!
  • University degree preferred
  • Most important is a great personality, drive, motivation, and ability to relate and communicate well with various clients
  • Negotiation and influencing skills  
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get things done  
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Organisational skills and detail oriented
  • You need to be based in Sydney and have full unrestricted working rights for Australia

What you'll do

  • Develop your own pipeline of leads. Our leads are flowing in!
  • Meet and work towards sales targets  
  • Meeting clients at their homes initially, establishing the relationship and onboarding them
  • Ongoing account management speaking with clients over the phone and communicating via email
