Our Client

We represent a global funds manager with a significant investment portfolio that spans infrastructure, debt, private equity and listed equities.  Due to continued growth Numbers Executive is currently sourcing two Private Equity Associates to join the Private Equity team in either Sydney or Melbourne. 

The Private Equity team is focused on supporting the growth of Australian and New Zealand private companies of all sizes.  It boasts an established, well-credentialed  team with a proven track record of working with investee companies to achieve their growth and value objectives. 

The Opportunity 

The Private Equity Associate will assist the Directors to make and manage a raft of direct private equity investments.  Working closely with other members of the investment team, the Associate will evaluate potential investment opportunities, conduct research, develop recommendations, participate in the negotiation and execution of investments and will also be responsible for monitoring and managing the investments.

Required Skills & Experience

You have 3-7 years of professional work experience gained within the M&A team of an Investment Bank, independent M&A adviser,  Private Equity Investor or comparable business of equal standing.  In addition we require applicants with: 

• exceptional communication skills (written & oral)
• strong financial modelling & financial analysis skills
• experience managing various workstreams associated with a transaction
• high levels of commercial acumen, enthusiasm and curiosity
• an exceptional academic record in a relevant finance or commerce degree
