This role's primary responsibility is to support and assist our Financial Planners with the management of our clients’ investment portfolios and the preparation of advice.


Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation and actioning of documentation related to advice
  • Communicating and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Service existing clients within Robertson Scannell’s service standards based on their ongoing agreement
  • Research, develop and discuss strategy and structure with advisers
  • Manage and review client portfolios across the business
  • Conduct strategy research for clients 
  • Working directly with and being mentored by Financial Planners with a variety of daily duties and tasks i.e. attending client meetings, constructing investment reports etc.
  • Help develop strategies for clients that meet both the client needs and goals 
  • When required implementation of advice strategies on platforms
  • Continuously building your technical and product knowledge
  • Ensure appropriate and timely follow-up with clients 
  • Consistently following compliance and regulatory requirements

 

About You

You’re looking for the opportunity to develop your planning and advice skills.  You have exceptional organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and you possess the following: 

  • Knowledge of investments, superannuation, tax, debt management, structures, estate planning, insurance and compliance
  • Bachelors Degree qualification preferably in a business related field (or working towards)
  • Diploma in Financial Planning (RG146) (or working towards)
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with strong written and concise communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to adhere to the company's benchmark level of advice and service
  • Able to work under pressure and meet timelines.
  • Solid understanding of compliance


Supporting our Financial Planners in this role will allow you to grow and develop on your skillset within the financial planning industry. This is a great transitional role to becoming a Financial Planner.

This is a full time role, however flexibility will be considered for the right candidate – for example if you are currently studying towards a relevant qualification. Salary commensurate with experience.
