My client is a highly reputable and leading financial services institution and currently an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and qualified financial planner to join the Melbourne CBD team to provide face-to-face holistic advice to HNW clients.

You will specialize in providing financial advice in respect of the client’s core investment portfolio, superannuation and pension strategies, and wealth protection strategies. Focus on the growth of Fund-under-Advice and recurring income stream.

Your role will be based in CBD and you will be responsible for the provision of holistic advice to a broad range of clients including SMSF's, retirement & investment planning, wealth creation, income streams, gearing, taxation, estate planning, superannuation, roll-overs, personal insurance and much more. You will develop and sustain long term relationships and ensure your advice is fully compliant with all legislative and AFSL requirements. Leveraging the organisations strong customer relationships, consistent product performance and their enabling support structure, you will enjoy significant earning potential in this role. Your Practice Manager is highly approachable, the team is solid and high performing & there is a great culture.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Meet and exceed individual business targets relating to client’s core investment portfolio, superannuation, insurance and Fund-under-Advice.
  • Meet and exceed team/regional business targets under the direction of Senior Wealth Management Specialist.
  • Be abreast of the latest regulations and opportunities regarding the area of advice.
  • Working closely with Product Managers and other Specialists to achieve business goals and cross-sell target.
  • Utilise working knowledge of investment products and financial planning as required to assist Relationship Managers to identify potential business referral opportunities or business written with clients.
  • Participate in joint telephone calls and client appointments with relationship and provide feedback and coaching where appropriate.
  • Conduct training to facilitate competence in telephone prospecting, policies and processes, product set and documentation as required.


To be considered for this role you must have the following:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience providing face-to-face financial advice to clients (preferably within a banking environment but not essential)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Completed Diploma of Financial Services qualification (DFP) - ideally ADFS qualified (minimum DFP 1-6)
  • Focussed on due diligence and compliance
  • Excellent technical knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player
  • Motivated and passionate about financial planning
  • Foreign Language skills are favourably considered


The ideal candidate will have a passion for financial planning, will have superior skills across sales and relationship management as well as administration and compliance.
