Our client is a market leader in the boutique equities investment management landscape. Synonymous with the Melbourne market this fundamental Australian investment manager has a brilliant opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join its distribution function. Focussed on growing its reputation amongst the retail distribution landscape you will be responsible for the following: -

Major Responsibilities:

• Act with a client first mentality and position this boutique Australian investment manager across the retail fund's management market in Australia.
• Develop relationships with key advisory groups, platforms and dealer groups in the Australian region.
• Develop and execute an annual business plan, including well-defined sales strategies that will maximize sales within the region to existing key clients and identify new opportunities and growth prospects.
• Manage specific campaigns and events in line with budgets, fund flows, and revenue targets.  
• Keep up-to-date on market and industry news via thoughtful commentary and insights and to the broader Wealth Advisory team. 
• Provide assistance and input to the head Head of Sales and execute on key account plans as they pertain to our product offerings with our strategic distributor relationships and third-party channels.

Experience & Knowledge Required:

• A proven track record in driving results and increasing funds under management within a sales role.
• Strong relationships in the retail advisory, intermediary market, particularly within the independent advisory groups.
• Experience within a senior role where you've monitored the overall performance of a sales function will be held in high regard.
• A broad technical understanding of both passive and active investment strategies is essential.
• The ability to articulate complex investment processes across asset classes, investment styles, and portfolio structures
• This role will best suit an energetic, self-motivated professional keen to make an impact within a global firm.
