Our client is a diversified financial services business offering its clients a range of services and products across wealth management and trustee services. They have an opportunity for a risk manager to join their team. Reporting to the Acting Chief Risk Officer, you will be responsible for managing the enterprise-wide risk management framework. 
  
Your duties will include:

• Working closely with the Acting Chief Risk Officer to provide advice, support, education and training to all stakeholders and business partners within the superannuation, trustee and investment management business units to facilitate compliant outcomes;
• Acting as a technical point of referral for your business partners in relation to relevant legal and regulatory obligations;
• Promoting a collaborative working environment to ensure an effective and consistent business wide approach to risk management;
• Creating a culture of best practice risk management ensuring effective facilitation of assurance activities, including monitoring and reporting on the remediation and closure of internal audit issues AND
• Working knowledge and experience using the GRC manager software a huge plus

To be successful in the role, you will:

• Possess a minimum 5 years risk management experience, preferably within the trustee or wealth related industry;
• Be degree qualified (legal, business or risk management discipline);
• Bring sound practical knowledge of governance capability demonstrated within complex and highly regulated environments including ASIC and APRA
• Have familiarity using and updating a Risk Register;
• Require a demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders with various expectations;
• Possess highly developed oral and written communication skills AND
• Proven experience in working under pressure and organising work priorities to meet deadlines
