Your new company
The Operational Risk Manager will be responsible for working with the Head of Operational Risk in developing and enhancing the Operational Risk Framework in the Bank.
Your new role
Our client who are recruiting for an Operational Risk Manager are a growing International bank with a diverse product range primarily in Corporate Banking and Retail banking.
What you'll need to succeed
The Operational Risk Manager who will be based in the Sydney office will be responsible for:
- Manage and improve the operational risk framework and manage relationships with internal stakeholders
- Provide expert support and advice to the business on Operational Risk management
- Collect and analyse the root cause of operational risk events to ensure that relevant lessons are learnt; control gaps are identified, suggesting new controls and identifying points of failure.
- Agree action plans with business units monitoring and escalating the issues to the management attention when necessary
What you'll get in return
The Operational Risk Manager who will have the following skillset: - Knowledge of working in Operational Risk in commercial and/or investment Banks - Exposure to critical assessment and improvement of control environment - Strong understanding of Risk & Controls and how to implement and refine frameworks - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - Strong Stakeholder management exposure Knowledge of Regulatory practices within Financial Services
