Our client is a market-leading funds manager offering an institutional client base a broad spectrum of investment opportunities across diversified asset classes. An established business with continual growth of funds under management, they offer employees a collegiate, collaborative working environment. Due to continued growth and the implementation of a new Fixed Income portfolio, an Investment Analyst with Fixed Income, FX and Interest Rate experience is currently sought to join their Melbourne team.
Joining a highly credentialed and experienced investments team, the Analyst will support the implementation of a long-only Fixed Income portfolio in addition to daily dealing of money market, FX and derivative overlays. The Analyst will be required to keep abreast of overnight markets and the macro-economic environment in order to set and execute daily investment strategies. More broadly, the Analyst will assist in the development of risk management strategies that address FX, Interest Rate and Credit Risk exposure for the group as a whole, in addition to analysing market trends and dynamics (in Australia and Globally) highlighting up-to-date economic, credit and liquidity trends and conditions.
A financial markets professional, the successful candidate will likely have 2-5 years’ experience across fixed income and/or interest rate trading gained from a fund, bank or group treasury environment. Strong analytical, conceptual and quantitative skills are required as is the ability to make effective decisions and interface with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. With a relevant Economics, Commerce or Business Finance degree and strong academics, it is likely you will be working towards a post-graduate qualification in finance (CFA, MAppFin).
