This role is a 6 month fixed term contract, based in North Sydney and reporting to the Head of Margin Assurance in our Fraud, Risk and Audit team within Finance.
As our Senior Margin Assurance Analyst your role is to protect our margins and improve customer experience by performing margin assurance risk analysis and through the effective monitoring of operational controls. You will be joining a team that ensures that all revenue generating traffic carried on our network is captured in the relevant billing systems at the correct value and the key cost components and that they are clearly understood and monitored.
Based in our North Sydney office and reporting to the head of Margin Assurance you will provide expertise and advice in designing appropriate controls, continuously monitoring the operation of those controls and providing decision support / analysis in addressing specific instances of margin leakage. Significant emphasis will be placed on understanding the various sources of revenue and cost and developing solid working relationships with the relevant business managers to stay abreast of changes and influence the need for robust controls.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Supporting the Head of Margin Assurance in the performance of risk analysis, opportunity analysis and product or proposition post-implementation reviews;
- Effective partnership with other business areas to resolve issues and champion the need for margin risk management;
- Involvement in product development, monitoring product performance and billing accuracy to ensure Revenue and Cost Assurance;
- Proactively identifying and resolving issues that can have a negative impact on VHA's revenues and costs.
To be considered for this role you should have insightful analytical ability, sound business judgement, excellent communication skills and be a strong team player willing to collaborate with other business areas and work across a variety of initiatives and needs. Ideally you should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Telco revenue assurance, risk management, billing or audit role with demonstrated data querying and analysis ability. You should also be intuitive by nature with a sound track record in influencing others coupled with outstanding communication skills (written and verbal); and the ability to develop solid working relationships with the wider business.
