Our client is a top-tier financial services powerhouse with a strong track record in the Australian market. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified risk professional to join the Quality Control and Assurance team for the Financial Markets Trading arm of the business on a permanent basis.  
 
The Quality Control and Assurance group sits within the First Line of Defense Office and plays a key role within the Risk Excellence program, and is responsible for:

• advising and setting standards in best practices in risk compliance, 
• establishing a robust internal control environment and promoting operational consistency within business groups 
• support functions across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. 

This is an incredibly commercial role partnering with business groups across the region within the global markets business.

 You will;

• demonstrate solid operational expertise, or knowledge of controls, process engineering or business architecture in order to ensure best practices and consistency are adopted
• strong communication and relationship management skills are also desirable to build a true partnership between the FLOD Office and business groups
• Conduct quality control and quality assurance assessments

As the successful candidate, you will possess;
 

• First Line operational risk / internal audit experience in Global Markets - strong preference for 
• In-depth product knowledge in Global Markets - DCM /Fixed income / Derivatives / FX / Equities 
• Relevant degree & Professional qualification 
• Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills 
• Self-starter with the ability work unsupervised 
• Ability to commence immediately
