The Client

Our client is a Federal Government Agency seeking a Payroll Administration Officer to undertake payroll enquiry, data entry and administration duties. This is a 11 month full-time contract position, with possible extensions. 

The Role

Your role will require you to perform various administration and payroll duties.

If successful, your responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to:

• Administer Conditions of Service in accordance with legislative requirements.
• Calculate employee entitlements and process payroll tasks in the Payroll system in accordance with relevant legislation, policy and established procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate client details in Payroll System – including updating of information for Superannuation requirements and in alignment with the EA and other payroll legislative requirements.
• Provide straightforward Payroll and Conditions of Service advice to clients and fellow staff.
• Respond to straightforward payroll enquiries.
• Perform straightforward pay audits to determine over and underpayments.
• Provide Administrative Support including filing, photocopying, scanning personnel files and associated documents, routine user maintenance of office equipment.
• Provide briefing to Team Leader of issues affecting their work area and identifying strategies to overcome obstacles, including client education strategies.

You must hold a minimum Baseline Security Clearance to be successful for this position.
