JS Careers is currently sourcing an Analyst for an Australian investment bank in Sydney. The firm operates in a generalist capacity with sector strengths in private equity, general industrials and real estate. This role requires 0.5-4 years of experience gained from a management consulting firm, equities research team, big four accounting firm, commercial law firm or competitor investment bank / corporate advisory firm.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an analytical professional seeking to build upon already developed technical skills in a first-class investment banking business. This role will provide the successful candidate with exposure and transaction execution experience well above that of an Analyst at a larger investment bank.
Role responsibilities:
- Financial analysis, valuation and modelling
- Due diligence and transaction management
- Drafting and deal documentation (e.g. IMs, Board Papers, SPAs etc)
- Communication with other advisors (legal, accounting) and clients
Candidates will be considered from:
- Investment banks - Bulge bracket or boutique
- Big four accounting firms - M&A, Transaction Services, Valuations and/or Business Modelling
- Management consulting firms
- Law firms - M&A experience required
- Equities research
Candidates must also possess the following:
- 0.5-4 years of experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
- Advanced technical skills via financial modelling experience or a highly numeric tertiary education (ie. Actuarial studies, Mathematics, Quantitative Economics/Econometrics)
- Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (Commerce, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Studies, Engineering, and/or Law)
