A global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Fraud Analyst who is passionate about data and comes with an ability to produce insights to stakeholders
Reporting to and working closely with analytics leaders you will be required to use your analytical skills to utilise internal and external data to detect fraud trends and identify prevention and detection strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine large databases to improve detection and prevention strategies
- Investigating, interpreting and understanding complex unstructured data
- Communicate results of complex data, analysis and findings into meaningful and actionable insights for senior management and key stakeholders
- Work closely with stakeholders to mitigate fraud and minimize loses
- Liaise with wider teams and governing bodies
- Conduct gap and process analysis and drive process improvement
Looking for Key Skills such as
- Advanced Excel, SAS and SQL skills
- A passion for presenting valuable data driven insights from complex data
- Prior experience in analyzing large complex datasets, data mining and reporting in a commercial environment
- Ability to take complex data and tell a simple story
- Demonstrable experience producing high quality analysis covering complex data, trend analysis
- Background working within Fraud/Risk/AML/Audit/Credit
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline such as Commerce, Economic, Mathematics or Statistics etc.
- Strong attention to detail
