The Opportunity
Reporting to the Analytics Team Lead in the Data Analytics function, and working very closely with Head of Member Propositions, you will be responsible for data analytics, performance insights & reporting which underpin product portfolio management and product enhancements.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders to extract data, understand performance trends and make appropriate recommendations. You will analyse performance trends and perform gap analysis providing insightful management reporting for Product Portfolios within the Member Proposition team including Health Insurance, General & Life Insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and preparation of relevant reporting, dashboards and key performance metrics to manage HBF’s product portfolio
- Provide insights & analysis across PHI & General Insurance portfolios, and identify opportunities for additional data that may assist with wider insights.
- Lead the development of reporting and analysis for business planning process.
- Development of Business Cases & Pricing Papers to support product enhancements and rate review
- Support the development of robust and accurate forecasting models, and provide insights to drive product assumptions into the forecast model
About You
If you meet the following selection criteria, we would love to hear from you!
- Proven experience in a commercial and portfolio analytics role in a large data driven & regulated environment
- Ideally 5+ years insurance or financial services experience
- A degree in a numerate discipline; Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science
- Programming skills in SAS and/or SQL essential (or similar tools)
- Expert Microsoft Excel skills e.g. power pivot, expert formulas and functions
- Expert experience in designing reports and dashboards
- Strong ability to manage and manipulate large amounts of data
