Guidelines in order to provide positive outcomes for clients while mitigating operational risk

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in managing clients’ currency portfolios and exposures according to investment guidelines in order to provide positive outcomes for clients while mitigating operational risk
• Endeavour to reduce operational risks and costs through continuous improvement of processes and mastery of operational systems
• Suggest – and ideally test – improvements to the active quantitative models
• Monitor and analyze portfolio performance
• Prepare performance attribution reports
• Support the client servicing efforts in tandem with the senior portfolio managers
• Assist in preparation of presentation materials and reporting packages

Knowledge and Skills

• Exhibit strong attention to detail producing high quality work with a high degree of accuracy while operating under time sensitive deadlines
• Ability to work independently combined with enjoying working as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
• At least three years of experience in currency markets is mandatory. The ideal candidate will also have experience in currency portfolio management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency to at least intermediate level in Excel, VBA and Matlab are desired
• Knowledge of Bloomberg useful
• Advanced degree and/or CFA designation (or progress towards CFA designation) is an asset
