JS Careers is currently mandated to source an experienced compliance professional for a global bank in Sydney. This role will join an existing compliance team, and provide regulatory advice across the full suite of corporate and institutional banking products, including advisory, lending and financial markets. This position ideally requires 5+ years of compliance experience within the investment (or corporate/institutional) banking market.
Duties will entail -
- Ensuring all compliance requirements are met as they relate to the operations and activities of all divisions of the bank;
- Manage of regulatory interactions, including ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC;
- Ensuring consistency of the compliance model and policies with the global framework;
- Management of conflicts of interest across the firm;
- Involvement in delivery of the compliance training program;
- Control the effective implementation of compliance rules;
- Provides guidance and advice on legal and regulatory matters to assist with growth of the business;
- Responsible for clear interpretation and implementation of regulatory change.
Suitable candidates must possess :
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Law, Accounting, Finance or related);
- 5+ years of experience gained from a compliance position within the Australian banking market;
- Deep knowledge of corporate/institutional banking products and processes, including the management of conflicts within an investment banking context;
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
