This well known fund manager is looking for an economist to join their dynamic team. 

The specific responsibilities will include:

• Monitor and assess the asset class implications of global economic trends, including growth, inflation, monetary policy and fiscal policy.  
• Additional research tasks as directed by senior members of the investment department, including economic research and charting analysis.
• Contribute to the writing of papers to be tabled at the Investment Committee and Board and for external presentations, relating to economic outlook and asset allocation strategy.
• Maintain and assist in the evolution of spreadsheets and automated chart packs covering market developments, asset class outlooks and economic environment/macro trends.
• Maintain and assist in the evolution of tactical asset allocation processes for the asset classes particularly within the property sector
• Track the assumptions priced into financial markets, including corporate earnings growth, interest rate path and inflation. Track developments in the economic consensus and the risks to that consensus.

The successful candidate will ideally have an economics background from within state treasury, funds management or similar.
