We are currently looking for an experienced Credit specialist to join our Country Banking and Wholesale division on a full-time permanent basis. This role will be responsible for undertaking all necessary credit analysis on applicable accounts and jointly prepare credit applications as well as all aspects of loan approvals so that they are consistent with the Bank’s credit policies. This role is responsible for detecting accounts with deteriorating trends and to enable early detection of credits at above normal risk. Day to day, this role is responsible for improvements in credit policies, procedures and processes to both adequately capture risk whilst enhancing customer service and market position. The role will also require you to manage your own portfolio of circa 20 clients, so excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills are essential.
To be successful in this role you worked in a banking environment with exposure to either lending into the Rural/Agricultural or Corporate/Institutional sectors or as a credit analyst or credit approval role in these sectors. You will also possess strong Relationship Management & engagement skills and ideally have previous exposure to lending in a food agri business environment or corporate banking environment and superior financial assessment skills, including cash flow budgeting and financial modelling/forecasts. You will show superior application of credit risk principles and show sound understanding of various forms of collateral security and group structures with a good understanding of derivative & working capital products. It is essential to have good written and verbal communication skill with a view to establishing and building collaborative relationships with all stakeholders. You will also work well to deadlines, delivering high quality output and show an ability to influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes for the benefit of the Bank.
